Another one bites the dust :) (day that is)
We can mark yet another day off the calendar and can look forward to at least 2 more here. They are going to do an echocardiogram on Aine to verify that her heart is still looking good & no changes can be seen.
They are concerned that the increased heartrate, increased respiratory rate & the decreased oxygen saturation are being caused by the open sturnum that she currently has.
As for the labs that I previously mentioned - As of now the blood culture has come back negative (it still needs to run for another 48 hours for a finalization & more blood will need to be cultured to verify the negative results). We are waiting for the sensitivity results of the urine, which I have been told can take 2 days to get back. She is on 2 heavy duty antibiotics, so hopefully all will start to look up from this point on.
