We have made it to the floor and Aine is as friendly as ever!
She is soo happy and doesn't even seem to have gone through surgery.
We are hoping that she remains stable and doesn't get any swelling.

Onto the next step!
Aine is out of surgery and onto getting her hearing tested with the ABR test.
The surgeon said that it was a great repair and both ear tubes have been placed.
Once the testing is completed they will monitor her for any signs of breathing issues.

In the OR
Aine is in the OR for ear tube placement and laryngeal cleft repair.
She will then go to have her ABR (hearing test) done.
After which she will go to have her MRIs done.
She was really happy when we got here & loved all the attention that she was getting. Because in true Casey kid fashion she melted the hearts of everyone that she saw.
We were reaching Nana sign language, and showing her how to belly laugh.
Aine was teaching one of the nurses how to play fetch and didn't want many of them to leave.
I'll update you more as I find out more.

Surgery Day
Today is the day!
We are coming in on the home stretch. We leave the house in an hour to make it to the hospital by our 6 am check in time.
Her surgery is scheduled to start at 8 am.
I'm not sure what is going to happen first, but will find out soon.
Thanks for the continued prayers & we will continue to update you throughout the day.

The Challenge
As many of you know,
Shawn and I are VERY competitive.
We can't even play monopoly!
So.... that being said.
but I have been challenged to join the "Shave your Head" challenge. But to make it interesting, we have set up some rules for the momma.
Please - Get involved - and know that it is ALL for a good cause & it's a great way to spread awareness even after the walk/5K is over!
Challenge UPDATE!!!
Let's get these lovely locks shaved for a GREAT CAUSE!!
The main goal remains the same - raise awareness for Childhood CHD, raise money for research, and get some hair to Loves for Locks!
Rules:
1) $100 for my head to be shaved. Sorry - but no donations, no shaving :(
2) All individual donations will count towards the $100 goal listed above.
3) Total raised will be posted daily (top three donators will be listed individually so you know where you stand)
4) Donations can be made to paypal ainesarmy@gmail.com (Put Your name in the comments section to be counted individually)
5) Donations that count towards highest person ends Noon Mothers Day (we will continue to accept donations until Noon Friday May 17th for this years walk but they will not count towards the "shave my head" total.)
5) In case of a tie??? One can cut the pony & one can shave!
6) LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!!!!
P.S. Shawn has offered to do the honors of shaving my head if you just want to donate :)
After pictures will have to wait -
